Are there any Ice Skating Rinks around Lake Norman area? My 4 year old went for her first time while on vacation in the mountains of Tennessee and did really well and has been nagging to do again.

Anyone have any information? I checked Google and there's darn near next to nothing.

We are looking to send her in for classes.

The nearest ice is the temporary holiday skating rink in Charlotte.

The nearest permanant rinks are located in Pineville (Pineville Ice House) and Indian Trail (Extreme Ice).

I've heard that a sheet of ice was planned for Mooresville several years back, but nothing ever came of it. I wish someone would step up to the plate and build one. I'd love to skate (and play rec hockey again).

EDIT - I remembered there is a place called Ice Castles Skating Rink up in the Newton area. You can check Google for them.

i wish i had the capital to just build a rink and own it. I think it would do VERY well up here in the LKN area.
