It's gonna snow!!!!!!!
Well if you believe the old wives tale that snow comes 10 days after thunder.
I'm not sure if it was widespread but here in Steele Creek, we had a big thunderstorm early this morning. It was like a summer afternoon storm - heavy rain, a lot of lightning and booming thunder.
Anyone doing a snow dance?

Don't laugh - at 5 am this morning I rolled over and said the same thing to my hubby - it's gonna snow within the next 10 days - yippeeee!!! |

You know, I am so glad that you said that. I woke up briefly to vivid lightening, then fell back asleep thinking...wow, a thunderstorm...wonder when it's going to snow...(seriously, I remember thinking that)...then, nobody else said anything about the storm today, so, I thought that I dreamed it.  |

are you sure it wasnt your husband storing.
It puts it about right when we typically have our snow though.
btw this is longest I have gone without washing my car it either warm & wet or sunny & cold.

Don't know about up on your end of the county Sunny, but in the south end there were HUGE thunder boomers going on with lots of lightening  |

It was weird. We've had thunder in the winter before but it really was like a big summer storm. Does that mean it'll be our long overdue "big one"? |

That is so weird... I just checked weather.com and Jan 12 is calling for a snow storm
The storm was also very strange last night, its rare to get on in the winter that is that severe. |
