Good idea...but will we ever have a large nice park in Uptown? I know this is just outside of Uptown...but it is not Uptown.

Where would they put it?

I wish there was a bike trail from Matthews to uptown. They could build it alongside the railroad tracks.

That's a neat idea, but I bet the right of way is owned by the railroad and would be too cost prohibitive for the county to buy.

Not in uptown exactly my friend. The land costs would just be too high even if there were enough land to put it on. But really, nearby Freedom Park in Dilworth/Myers Park is pretty much our city park

It would be nice if they pull that off But I think it would be more of a playground? Which would also be nice to have up there.

And we LOVE Freedom Park & 4th Ward Park right in our back yard...nothing finer than to go by Price's Chicken Coop and get 3 boxes of chicken (one for my partner, our homeless female friend & myself) and enjoy Prices on a nice afternoon.

You are right. The land Uptown is just to expensive...but what isn't Uptown?
