Anyone here knows if it's possible to add a family member (not a spouse) to an existing mortgage loan? If that's possible, is it possible for this person to claim mortgage payment interest credit on his/her tax return?

The only way I know to do this is to refinance the loan - and then that person would only get to claim it NEXT year, not for 2008.
