Route to Time Warner Arena
We'll be coming up 85 North. We're gonna pay the overpriced $15 parking fee for the lots around the arena so I don't have to hear the complaining about walking in the cold.
Should we come in:
85N to Brookshire, to 77S to Trade Street or
85N to Brookshire to 277, Church Street to Trade Street
Will be coming in around 5:00 pm on a Saturday.
Thanks for the info.

Not this Saturday I hope? The Panthers game will have parking a little scarce. I'd do 85 to Brookshire to I77 then Trade, but it's really six of one, half a dozen of the other

Nope later on this month. Couldn't pay me to head uptown this weekend.

Im assuming your heading up south of Charlotte you might want to consider the light rail park n ride in Pineville right off 485 and take light rail it cheaper than paying for parking

The OP originally commented that they didn't want to have to hear their companions complaining about the cold so I doubt they would want to ride the light rail.

I'd go with the "85N to Brookshire to 277, Church Street to Trade Street" option.

That route works.
You might want to consider parking at the Hearst Tower and dining at one of the local restaurants (So Ho’s would be my choice) and have your parking ticket validated. Great food and free parking.

I would advise parking in the BB&T building. Park on the 3rd level, and then walk through the Overstreet Mall. It comes out in EpiCenter. From there, it's just a short walk to the arena in the cold. Parking at BB&T is $6 most nights.
