We looked at the neighborhood and thought it was so cute! We even took our kids trick or treating there this year when we were researching neighborhoods to get an idea of the neighbors. There were loads of kids and all the adults in the back section seemed to know each other and get along well. We didn't end up buying there because the houses were a bit small for us and there weren't many on the market to choose from, but other than that, I thought it was definitely an area worth looking into.

Road Trip CLT is on a distinguished road
The proposed road improvements will only minimally affect the two lots that are next to South Trade Street. Another house has been purchased across from Talbot Court by Plantation Estates. This house will be taken down and another road will be built by Plantation Estates and connect to Fullwood, giving the residents an alternate access. The connection to South Trade will then change to right in and right out only (no left turns). Personally, I think this will be much better than was is there now.

Further down the street in a similar price range is Brightmoor (cross over 485). It's the largest subdivision in Matthews, with a good mix of house sizes. There's also a pool and tennis court.

Hampton Green is nice, but it's pretty tough to take a left turn out of the neighborhood, unless a courteous driver stops for you.

Thornblade is an option as well -- it's before Brightmoor (before you cross 485) and across the street from Squirrel Lake Park.

Good luck!

The only downer on that particular neighbourhood is that there is only one exit in and out and the traffic on John Street (I think it's called that) and that turning off of Fullwood make is nigh impossible to turn left out of there. But other than that I don't see any problems. the schools are Matthews Elementary, Crestdale Middle and Butler High - all great schools.
It's not John Street -- it's Trade Street. East/West John Street is at the Petro Express and Matthews Exxon.

The construction on Weddington Road was to repair the ancient culvert. It was a state project, not a Matthews project.
