DH has about 10 years experience in construction and construction project management. He has worked on job sites as well as in a corporate environment, doing everything including estimating, budgeting, contract negotiation, staff supervision, etc.

His last job was managing the construction of an apartment complex in Chesapeake, VA. His office was located in Charlotte, but he had to travel to VA every other week. So, traveling is okay!

The reason he lost his job (as well as almost every other person at his office) was because they were unable to secure funding from their lender to continue the project. So, no money from the bank, no work for DH.

He is completely open to positions in other industries where his skill set may be transferable. Any ideas?

And, as for me, I am completely open to office/church cleaning at night. Where would I find such a position?

I know you're trying to think of things to do from home, but what about one of those cleaning companies that clean churches and offices at night?

What about Medical Coding. I know there is a bootcamp located in Charlotte for getting certified as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder). I believe this is done from home, correct? I believe they pay by the record coded. So, the faster you work, the more you get paid.
According to Salary.com, a CPC coder should make around 30k-35k in Charlotte.
Any thoughts on this?

Once upon a time, I was a waitress to earn some extra $$$ for school. Granted, I was young, but I was a HORRIBLE waitress! Oh the stories I could share... to this day, as a result, I always try to be as nice as possible to the staff whenever we eat out.

DH, on the other hand, is interested in wait staff jobs. Do you know of anyone that's hiring? His experience was much better (he did the whole costumed dinner-theater routine while working his way through college).
