Cheerwine is the only cola I drink anymore. Luckily, my best friend lives in SC, so whenever I visit I load my car up with Cheerwine since Florida gets no Cheerwine love.

Guess its drinks we take for granted. I love Sun Drop and Cheerwine, but Dr Pepper and sweet tea are my favorite all time drinks. I also kinda liked vanilla Pepsi, but they did away with it...

Cheerwine is a product originating in Salisbury. "Taste of America" (Tuesdays on the Travel Channel) did a segment on it. It might be only offered in select stores (Food Lion, I'm thinking) but you can also get Cheerwine ice cream.

All kidding aside, Cheerwine in and of itself is enough of a reason to move here.
hahahaha, that was the best part of the post!! I too LOVE Diet Cheerwine-- tastes just like regular and is the BEST diet soda out there!! If I ever leave NC I will have to get someone to ship Cheerwine to me.

When I was growing up, we used to make homemade ice cream on hot, summer Sunday afternoons. A favorite was to use Cheerwine to flavor and add dark sweet cherries!

Default Pronunciation?

How do you pronounce Cheerwine?

Is it CHAIR-win or cheer-WINE or SHER-win? Or something else?

LOL...if you're listening to a native, it probably sounds a lot like CHAIR-wine!

Went to the market this afternoon and spied Sun Drop and Cheerwine sherbert. Bought them both. Will write a review later. If I'm able to move.
