Could find Cheerwine in Publix in Florida for a while. It was never advertised and didn't seem to be around for long. It was stocked by the 7 Up people. I really was happy when I say it. The first time I did see it, I asked the 7-up guy if they were going to stock it regularly and he told me to talk to the Publix manager. I did and he didn't.

Cheerwine rocks, been drinking it since I was a little kid. My did introduced me to them. One sip and I was hooked. Backed then they were sweetened with real sugar not corn syrup. Sundrop is also better than Melloyello but not quite as good as doin' the Dew. Too bad I have to drink the unleaded stuff now, because neither version in sugar free is as good as the original. Diet Cheerwine will go flat in about an hour after you open a big bottle.

My favorite right now and for the last while has been Diet Coke with Lime. Drink way too many of them though. I hate that you can't find them in the convienence stores now. Found them in a little store in Atlanta once and bought 6 at one time.

I tried Diet Cheerwine after reading about it in a thread here. I thought it tasted like a sweeter Mr. Pibb or Dr. Pepper.

These days I am back to my old fave ---- FRESCA!

I have only tried Cheerwine Diet...I hope the "real thing" is better than the diet. Awful aftertaste. Now Sundrop...I must put on my "try" list!

I have to agree with the above poster. When I tried Cheerwine, it was the diet version. A couple of swigs and the rest went in the garbage. It was awful. Hopefully the non-diet is better.

The locals that worked with me always had to eat lunch at a place that served Cherry Lemon Sundrop. I'll have to try that someday.

This. Is. Blasphemy.

I demand satisfaction. I challenge you to a dual using only empty 2 liter bottles for weapons. I'll use a Diet Cheerwine bottle to own whatever you bring. It's on!

You'll love mine. Either Diet Dr Pepper, Diet A&W, or Diet Pepsi. Oh yeah, I'm addicted to all three!!!

Now as a peacekeeper, I'll say that I'm not rallying to ban Cheerwine from the shelves. I'm just saying that I didn't care for it. Now, set your empty 2 litre bottle down and "live and let live". Can't we all get along?
