Hey there Mr Sippi - do you eat boiled crawfish??? So many people from the northeast think they are gross. I just tell them they don't know what they are missing
We belong to an LSU alumni group here in Charlotte, and yes we have a crawfish boil every spring. We have the crawfish shipped live from Louisiana the day of the boil. We would you like more info on attending?

Ohmygosh, what a small world!! And don't worry, we LSU fans don't hate anybody anymore except Alabama (Nick Saban has made sure of that!)
Would you really like some info on who to order crawfish from? My mom says they are already looking great and this season is predicted to be one of the best. YUM, I'm hungry just thinking about it!!!!

Crawfish are kind of the texture of lobster - but not as chewy. Their flavor is very unique - not "fishy" and sorta like crab?? Never had to describe them before LOL - not sure this description does them justice either! For the first timer one great way to experience crawfish would be in an etoufee (crawfish type stew over rice). If you ever see this on a menu - don't miss your chance to eat one of the best tasting dishes in the world!

Man, I haven't had crawfish in 9 years! I lived in Biloxi for a bit when I was assigned to Keesler. My grandmother and she was squeamish when I described them and alternately referred to them as "mudbugs." She thought they sounded pretty gross. But then again, she's from Jersey, what would she know?

They arent good if they arent very spicy. So they are similar to very spicy shrimp.
I hate watching people pick and pick trying to peel the whole tail. Thats not how to eat Crawfish. With practice, you can get the meat out of the tail with little or no peeling.
Cold beer is also a must.
