I'm thinking about getting Rent tickets. I don't want to spend a ton. Looks like the lower range seats are around $25. So my question is ... is Ovens a very large theater. The size of a theater can really make a difference when it comes to how important it is to sit closer or not. What do you think?

I've never seen Rent before so I don't want to be struggling with the story line if I'm too far away.

It looks like anywhere you sit wouldn't be bad, kinda like any theater on Broadway. Cheech and Chong are going to be there and I sure wish I was going to that.

Have you looked at the seating chart? Doesn't look too big to me but of course this thing is not to scale.

Ovens is a large theater. The lower level seats aren't bad at all. It is an older building so it doesn't have rows that are not well staggered or sloping. So if you're behind someone who is taller or bigger you may have an issue seeing everything. The sight lines are pretty good in the center sections. I would avoid the outside right and left sections.

I saw Rent at the Blumenthal several years ago. It's a great show, have fun!

I have been to Ovens twice, the first time we saw an Eagles tribute type band, which was actually great. We sat in the upper middle section about mid way up and we could see fine. And then we went last April to see Jerry Seinfeld and we sat really close. Lower section, right side but the seats were on the isle to the center section, a couple rows back, they were great as was Jerry. I think it's a great place to go. Have fun!

Ovens is a comfortable size - not like an arena. No matter where you sit you'll hear and see the show well in my opinion
