teaching in nc (graphic design, studio, summer)

Hello,
It looks like we may be heading to north carolina as part of a relo the end of the summer. I am looking to obtain my MFA but in the process would like to work before starting. I was looking into teaching as a possibility. I currently hold two degrees one in Communication Studies and a Studio Art Degree in Graphic Design. I do not hold a cert now but I wanted to see if it was possible to teach while working on your masters degree. That would be optimal as the program I am interested is actually online so it would work out well. I also would like to teach once I obtain my MFA.
All thoughts on this are appreciated.

You would need to take and pass a praxis test for what ever you wanted to teach to get a license.

If you have a 4 year BA, you can get a teaching position as a lateral entry hire and you have 3 years to complete your teaching certification, which would probably include taking the PRAXIS.
