Default NARI Membership Guide-Charlotte Chapter

When I went to Home Depot a couple of weeks ago, I was inquiring about an electrician and the gal at the help desk gave me the NARI membership directory, National Assoc of the Remodeling Industry, Greater Charlotte Chapter. I am sure Lowe's would also have the guide as they are listed also.

It says that for professional remodelers, NARI Cerification offers the consumer assurance that he or she is choosing a professional with years of experience, dedication to ongoing training and a commitment to ethical conduct.

I have used The Building Center to purchase chair rail and the staff was very helpful and very nice. They are listed in NARI. It lists suppliers and contractors.

Hope this helps you all who are doing any home improvement or repairs.

as you have heard me post before. Check out the work of the person who is doing the work and don't just go by their certifications. For example a company can have a plumbers license and send someone unlicensed to work on your home. Or a certified contractor could hire subcontractors who are hacks.

Get permits and educate yourself, otherwise you could get taken.

I totally agree with you. It just seams that so many people post on plumbers, electricians etc needed that this would be another source of information to help seek out professionals.
