Anyone have a recommendation for all wood shutters (whole house).
I don't know the technical name, but I do want them to open independently (top and bottom open separately)

Also any idea of cost? Looking to do whole house.

Highly recommend the Louver Shop: The Louver Shop of Charlotte | Interior Shutters, Shades & Blinds

They were easy to work with, quick turnaround, and installed everything in half a day. Great quality and they look very nice. Your cost will depend on the quantity and size of the windows, but we were pleased with the total for our whole house.

I just used the Blind Man. It was for an international client of mine that purchased a home here so I handled the process for them. Price was under $9K installed for the entire 3000 sqft 5 bedroom home and it had a lot of windows.

They were not wood though (you couldn't tell). They were the larger paneled style, mounted inside the window casing.

It depends on what you want: wood or plastic? Plastic you may go to Lowes. I had them custom made for $250 for a half-window style, all wood, but you can choose the width of the panels, design, etc. They did a great job. Chad at Artisan Shutter & A Shade Above 704-517-0694. I recommend them.
