We are currently looking to move to NC-We have a horse Ranch and would like to move to a western horse friendly part of NC. Can anyone give me any advice-Not really looking to move to Tryon-as we are a bit more-rednecky....

Union County is beautiful horse country...not too snobby like Tryon. I'm familiar with Polk County. Anyway, you should take a look. You can visit my website (found under my profile). Go to "Property Search", choose Charlotte Region, then select Union County. Put in your criteria and see what's out there. If you'd like me to contact you when something comes on the market there send me a pm. I can give you specific details on any property that you like. Good luck with the search.

My MIL and SIL live in Gaffney, SC, it's outside of Spartanburg. They have two horses and plenty of room if they wanted more. They're about an hour or so from Charlotte.

You might want to hook up with another poster: luvtoride. They posted a question in the general forum about Love Valley http://www.lovevalley.com/ I checked your profile; that area might fit your needs

Not sure where the best area for a horse farm is, but when you move here you will need to visit Love Valley. It is a "redneck" horse event that takes place every weekend during warm weather. Visit their website at www.lovevalley.com
