I am going to guess 2" here in Weddington. My lab loved his first snow! I posted his photo on the observer website's snow photo's. It's titled "Woodys first snow" and he is a black lab with a white blaze rolling in the snow. Our neighbor kids were tossing him snow balls and he was running and eating the snow, typical dog stuff.
It's still coming down here.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the scene outside right now I've got some of the prettiest icicles hanging all around my house!!! Having a great time watching all the neighborhood kids out the front window too. Even if we only got 2-3 inches it's enough for me!
Snow is deep in some areas; roads slick but OK | CharlotteObserver.com

I live in Pineville and I had about 2 inches on my porch rail and tile table on the 3rd floor.... ground had about the same. My 2 Maine Coon cats weren't impressed, the female wanted to sniff then go back inside, of course when she was a kitten/stray she had icicles hanging off her bushy tail one rainy/sleety day before I brought her inside. the big brave male who loves to be outside didnt' like the neighbors scraping their car windows and wanted to go back inside too....chicken butt. It was pretty and the roads weren't too bad, but I wait till I'm comfortable to drive in any kind of winter weather.
it was pretty, just hope it dries off well enough not to cause problems in the morning commute.

You guys are cute :-)). But seriously be careful out there. When you are not used to driving in the snow it can be very dangerous. I had a lovely accident when I first moved from Miami to Chicago my first winter.
This week I am in Orlando and it is 50, which kind of stinks for Orlando!
