We were driving back from IL last night and between Knoxville, TN and Asheville it was snowing! I haven't smelled it yet here but I have been inside all day or maybe my sniffer is just delayed! There is no mistaking that snow smell!!

Hey Chi...I couldnt agree more. It certainly DOES smell like snow...and "feels" like it too. Having grown up in northern IN, I can feel it the day before. Something to do with the way the air feels and smells.

Just back from the grocery store, I am happy to report that it was not more crowded than normal...but that will probably change later today when word gets out about our "approaching blizzard"

I love the smell of snow!!!

We use to have partys where who needed a cooler, just shove your bottle in the snow on the backyard deck. Instant chilled beverages

Exclamation Weather upgraded to "Winter Storm Warning"

It's looking more and more likely we'll get something tomorrow. The NWS upgraded the Metro area to a winter storm warning.

Mecklenburg NWS forecast

WSOC doesn't have it on their website yet, WCNC does. Warning goes into effect at 6pm
