There are many -- a lot will depend on what you prefer in a home and community. There are towns, suburban areas and rural areas.

I drove through Indian Trail last weekend and liked the brandon oaks and lake park subdivisions.

Both of those are nice. Most of the growth has occured in Western UC (west of Monroe): waxhax, Weddington, Marvin, Indian Trail/ Wesley Chapel areas. They all have some very nice areas/ developments and great schools.

Happy in Weddington. We were also looking in the Mint Hill area but I liked this side of UC.

We lived with my brother in law in the Raintree subdivision before we bought our home. I really liked all the great shopping access. Aboretum, Blakeney, Carolina Place, South Park, Home Depot and Lowe's right next to each other. Costco just down the road etc. I just didn't get that same feel in the Mint Hill area's, maybe this reminded me of home a little more.

But you really need to drive around because what was important to me may not be the same for you.
