We'll make you a "regular" tomorrow. Start eating a lot of bran along with vegetables such as cauliflower, beans and broccoli. Come back here about the same time tomorrow nite and we'll have you sign all the papers necessary.

In the meantime send your check for $25 to Johne482 @ City Data for initiation.

See you tomorrow

Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, pretty much anything that involves water. I love all water, ocean, lakes, rivers. Since moving here our new passion is going to the mountains. Once the nice weather gets here we plan on doing a lot of camping in the mountains and making lots of trips to the NC and SC coast. The best part is we get to do all of this as a family.

You really have to be in shape getting out of the canyon. After I can get my butt back in shape I plan on taking a couple weeks there to hike it. I'm not sure I'll do the 23 miles though. Congrats!
Thanks We did it in 3 days. Of course, that was 8 years ago already and unfortunately I am not in shape for THAT kind of adventure at the moment, but one day we do plan to go back to hike to Havasu Falls!

Cooking, cooking, and then when I have time, I love to cook. I was off today, so I spent the day in the kitchen. I made:
Cuban black bean soup (soaked the beans overnight, into the pot at 6 AM)
Cuban Roast pork (12 hours at 250 degrees)
Arroz con leche (rice pudding)
Caribbean curry chicken qtrs (HT on sale!)
Chicken noodle soup (goes in the freezer for DW to have for lunch daily)
15 bean soup wth chorizo and ham (in the freezer too)

Right now I am marinating a couple of steaks to grill tomorrow.

BTW-I am not Cuban, but my Wife is. She would not have moved here if she couldnt have Cuban food (even if its only made by me) LOL!

Hmm... I like getting tattooed. There are quite a few photos of me in the CD Hobbies Section. I like firearms. I finally got my tax stamp last Friday so I picked up a Serbu Super Shorty. I like to travel. I used to like eating out before the stock market went into the toilet. I like car shows & Sauternes & getting together with friends & family. I also like reading. I'm currently reading the works of Peter Jenkins.

Well, I like the outdoors but only to putter in my garden. NO hiking, definitely NO mountains and nothing that requires extensive physical activity. I love to travel to interesting places and learn about the culture and the history. Not one to lay on the beach for more than a day. Will wander about through the city that I've travelled to, observing the local culture, admiring the architecture, finding out about the history of the area. I like to go on day trips when I can to the beach to relax.

Cooking, learning languages, researching topics. (yes, a geek) Spending time with my sons, friends and dogs.

and, it goes without saying, going to a Cubs baseball game!!

For relaxation . . . TM, Tai Chi, yoga, listening/composing/playing (piano and synth) . . . other stuff would be reading, writing, photography, fine art, gardening, cooking/collecting recipes, fly fishing, hiking (slowed down a lot; now more like short treks), backroading, birdwatching, rock hounding . . . astrology, numerology, aromatherapy, Reiki . . . it all just depends on my mood and what I am working on at the moment.
