We just moved into Post Gateway a couple weeks ago. There are four total buildings and some are closer to the train tracks than others. Get a map of Uptown and find out which roads the units you are considering face.

We hear the train and are about two blocks away. For some reason they blow the horn constantly when they come through town, even at 3AM. I don't even hear it anymore if I am alseep. I am a UF Alum and just relocated from West Palm Beach downtown which is also noisy with trains and people.

We know that uptown is always louder and that you will hear the traffic etc. In our opinion, it's a trade off that we only have to deal with in the beginning before we just get used to the noise and don't hear it anymore.

The main office is awesome and we are really happy with our location and move. You can PM me if you want additional information - Post Gateway is further out from the center of the city by a couple blocks but it's A) free gym to walk uptown all the time and B) we have the trolley, buses and cheap cabs. Good Luck!

thanks, CLTKing....I definitely don't need "valet" trash service, especially if it's a ridiculous upcharge. I can handle the trash-shoots in Post Gateway just fine.

I appreciate the heads-up on the maintenance problems. I expect there are noise issues in all of the uptown apts, just because of the location... I'm not too high maintenance, but I do like my sleep. If I go with post, it seems like I should try to get a top floor/cityview (instead of courtyard) so that I can curb some of these issues.
