Is there a demand for medical people in the Charlotte area? I need some input mainly for working in the hospitals and what the starting wage is for a cna working there. Would there be a difference in the wage range working in Charlotte or in Monroe's hospitals. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you get on the major hospital/healthcare websites and search careers or job opportunities.

The two main hospital systems in the Charlotte metro area are:

Carolinas Medical Center
http://careers.carolinashealthcare.org/

Presbyterian Healthcare
http://www.presbyterian.org/job_information/

Pretty much every hospital or doctors office in the area is affliliated with one or the other of these two systems. If you open some of the sort boxes, it will take you to every affiliated office in the area.

Good luck!

Don't know if you are interested, but a friend is a CNA working in a nursing home. Seems they constantly are looking for good CNA's. Takes someone special to work with nursing home patients, but if that's something you like to do, I'd think you could find work there by just walking in the door.

Also, just saw that CMC-Union got awarded Hospital of Choice:
