HIGH SCHOOLS

Ardrey Kell, Butler, East Meck, Hopewell, Independence, Mallard Creek (new), Myers Park, North Meck, Providence, Vance.

MIDDLE SCHOOLS

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

David Cox Road, Elon Park (new), Endhaven, Hawk Ridge, Highland Creek, Mallard Creek, McAlpine, McKee Road, Mountain Island, Pawtuckett, Providence Spring, Selwyn, Smithfield, Steele Creek, Torrence Creek, University Meadows.

I feel bad for people who bough in these districts with kids.

People who have already bought homes in these school districts shouldn't be affected. This is effective for the 2007-2008 school year which begins in the Fall.

it says

Students who move into the attendance zone or already live there will be allowed to attend.

If you are having a house built you might not make it in time

Looks like you totally misunderstood the announcement. These schools are only closed for people seeking reassignment to them - not to the people who live in their attendence zones. Relax folks, this is just the schools system being proactive, if you live in one of these school zones you WILL have your children in one of them.
