Flea Markets around Charlotte/Rock Hill/Fort Mill
Dear husband and I have too much stuff and want to get rid of it. From fabrics to tools to art work to furniture to CDs to clothing ... you get the picture.
We are using Craigs list with moderate success - he doesn't like the idea of having a garage sale - and this morning he said why don't we try to sell our stuff at flea market this spring?
Any suggestions for flea markets you like or you've vended at? We are in Gastonia, probably don't want to trek across the Great State of Mecklenberg to the east side.
If we weren't both unemployed I'd probably just say let's bundle it up and give it to Goodwill. Argh.
Thanks in advance!

This is the best one due to close proximity to Gastonia.
It is huge and pumping on warm, sunny days
I-85 Flea Market. 3867 Dallas-High Shoals Highway. Hours: 8am to 4pm. Indoor/outdoor market with approx 400 dealers. Antiques, collectibles, furniture, electronics, jewelry, crafts, livestock, new and used merchandise, produce, tools and toys. Space from $12. per day outside and $20. inside. Snackbars, restrooms, h/a. c/p David Stewart, Box 402, 28034. (704) 922-1416. (Fax: (704) 922-4525
The indoor buildings A-C are not heated so you might want to do craigs list until it warms up or is above 55 degrees

Im not sure about the one off Independence, however there is one in Pineville called Barnyard flea market but to be a vendor at this market you need a South Carolina tax ID since it sits on the South Carolina side.
On the north end Webb Road Flea Market is ideal also like Dallas very busy.

Webb road requires you to make reservation the day before and Dallas the Thursday or Friday before the weekend you plan on selling.

This will be a good weekend to sell in Dallas.
The weather will be perfect and should expect large crowds due to people tired of being coop up due to the cold weather. You need to make reservations today or tomorrow to get a spot on the weekend. They provide two table for you. I normally do indoors since I normally sell new merchandise and like using the walls for displays but I am strongly thinking about doing what your doing in selling odds & ends plus I want to be outside enjoying the 65 degree heat.
I worked at several flea markets in this state and they all seem to have different crowd rush. Dallas seems to between 11 a.m and 1 pm however the flea market wants you there at 7:30
