Anyone work for CHS? Wanted to get some feedback about the organization in terms of stability, benefits, etc. May have an opportunity at some point to interview for a position in Corporate and was wondering if anybody could share their experiences with them. I would be relocating and leaving a very stable position in NY. Already own a home in Waxhaw, so intend on relocating eventually, but want to make sure I am not shooting myself in the foot.

Thanks

They are probably one of the largest (if not the largest) employer in CharMeck. Get the position first - better yet, go on their web page and look for yourself. Unless you are directly involved in patient care or can offer something unique to that care, stay where you are.

I have known several people who were in admin w/ CHS and moved up thru/ the ranks and made darn good salaries, as well. Just depends what area you are planning to work in and what your degree is in. If you have an MA or MBA and want to stay on a VP track . . . I don't see it as a bad move. Of course, I don't know what your situation is now.
