any good Rheumatologist/Neurologist/Child Orthapaedist in the areas? I am willing to travel outside of whatever my county may be for good medical care.

Your child is Aspie, right? One recommendation I'd like to make is Dr. Stegman of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics of the Carolinas in Kannapolis. First, the primary doctor needs to make a referral then, you send all of your child's records to him for a review/evaluation. Imagine that, a doctor who throughly reviews your records before you step into the office. His office gets lots of praise for their work with children with developmental and behavioral needs. His website is www.behavioralpeds.com and the phone number is 704.786.1776.

Good luck!

Robyn,

Not going to annoy you with this but you really gotta narrow your focus!

My entire family goes to Southern Piedmont Primary Care, a wonderful practice whose website is http://www.spprimarycare.org/ They are located in Monroe. They see infants, children and adults. In fact, the four of us have the same doctor, which is wonderful as she develops a relationship with us all. Plus, I get to keep better tabs on DH's care this way.

Dr. Stegman is wonderful. He was my pediatrician when I moved to Concord and now I call on his office for my job!

Thanks... anyone else? My dr gave me the name of a Dr Andy Laster but he seems to specialize in Osteoporosis, I have RA... If someone could pm me, also on the neuro front. We will probably be living in Union or South Char. I really would appreciate someones input who maybe has to see one of these type physicians. This drs name was given to me by a counterpart of my dr who probably went to school with him or something, I don't know. I think 1st hand exp is much better....

A week after I moved here, I wound up in the ER & was admitted under the care of a rheumatologist...he was wonderful! His name is Robert Kipnis with the Arthritis & Osteoporosis Consultants of the Carolinas. His office is across the street from Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. His number is 704-342-0252. You can PM me for more info
