If you like watching black movies from time to time, the epicenter do not seem to be the place to go. I wanted to see Tyler Perry new movie (why did I get married 2) but unfortunately it never played at the epicenter as well as the Lottery-ticket. Therefore I will continue to go to AMC Pineville which is not a problem and much cheater too.

My guess is that the fact that those movies looked like they would stink worse than a fresh turd and would draw 3 people per show had more to do with not showing the movies than because they were "black movies". They are dealing with a limited number of screens. but hey, if it makes you feel better to cry wolf, then so be it.

Epicenter should have Matinees showing Short Films this would be around Lunch Time.
Your on Lunch and you could join your co-workers for a Lunch Time Dinner with a Movie.

We went to the EpiCentre a couple of Friday nights ago.

I purchased the tix online, VIP seating. While our seats were empty upon arrival, I wondered how they enforce seating if someone had been sitting in them. Anyone ever experience this? We saw Inception and it wasn't a full theatre but I wondered if things operated differently for more popular movies.

I wasn't thrilled with anything about the EC - including (or maybe especially) how several people trapped in an elevator for an extended period of time in the underground parking were being treated.

We've been a few times and I've never seen an issue with someone's seat being taken. But then the crowd tends to be more mature adults and not a bunch of kids or ignorant, disrespectful idots, so I am sure that has something to do with it.

Not generally a big fan of the Epicenter in gneral, but I do like this theater. We keep meaning to do dinner at Mez beforehand but have not gotten around to it yet. We usually hit a 7:00-8:00 movie and the bar is not yet terribly crowded, so we can usually grab a seat in the lounge are and have a cocktail and an appetizer (or two) before grabbing another drink and heading inside.
