I'm considering relocating and was wondering what the "go to" website for job listings was for the Charlotte area. I currently live in Omaha and we have a local jobs listing site that is by far the best and most used website for local jobs. The national jobs listing sites have merely a fraction of the available jobs as compared to the local site.

If there is something better than the regular national sites (Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs) for your area please let me know.

PS
I'm in Financial Services/Investment Management if that makes any difference.

Thanks!!!

Don't know if this is the "best" place, but you should check out our local newpaper there are quite a few listed there:

Charlotte Observer | Charlotte, NC - North Carolina's Local News Leader

Just be forewarned, in your field jobs are very tough to come by right now.

A lot depends on what type of jobs you are looking for...can you be more specific?

Try craigslist or indeed.com. I have always found jobs using both sites.

Good Luck!

The Charlotte Observer feeds it's job listings directly into careerbuilder.com.

I recommend going with a recruiter- Accure Partners is a good one.

Good Luck.

Remember, you are competing against the best of the best...Charlotte has been the second largest financial services city next to NYC and a huge number of these professionals are now out of work. THAT is your competition.

Considering the situation our fair city is in right now, I'd recommend you wait a year or two, before you attempt to find employment in your particular field in Charlotte. The competition here is unreal. If you can find a job in Omaha right now, you're in a much better position than you would be here, IMO.
