Can someone tell me how much I'd be paying in property taxes for a home worth 100k? Thanks

Depends on where you are planning on living. i.e. if you are going to be living in Charlotte/Mecklenburg county, you will pay more than if you live in Cabarrus or Union County. Also, if you live in an incorporated area, you will pay more than if you live in an unincorporated area of any county.

If you have more of an idea where your house is/going to be, let us know and I will a) let you know an estimate, and b) tell you where you can find out in case you look at different areas.

This is very useful information! Why do some of the towns have asterisks? For example, Cornelius looks like a better deal than Davidson--but Cornelius also has an asterisk. What does that mean?
