I have a job interview by phone today with a company in Charlotte. If all goes well, I get an offer, and relocate to the Charlotte area I will be moving there in a travel trailer (not roughing it, these things have all the comfort of home).

I'll be looking for a decent RV park that isn't too pricey but has all of the amenities for me to hook up and settle in.

Can anyone recommend any such places in the Charlotte area?

This is all premature because I haven't even interviewed yet but I like to plan in advance.

Good luck with the job interview!!

I've heard good things about the campground at Carowinds - the Park doesn't open until March 28, but I THINK the RV campground is year round.

Theres also a couple up by Lowes Motorspeedway that are year round. The only thing is Speed week in May, they might be booked up then.

Thanks for the tips folks! Actually, I would be very pumped to end up in the Charlotte area. Charlotte is a beautiful city and I'd not be too far away from your big, beautiful mountains!

As much as I like the Dallas area, I'd have to agree this is a much prettier area! Hope you get a chance to visit the mountains while you are here. Let me know if I can help you in any way, I DO love mountains

There is a KOA campground at I-77 and Gold Hill Rd in Fort Mill. Seems to be very popular and is in a nice residential area.

I did the same thing 3 years ago - look up fieldridge acres - i think that's what it's called. It's not the best place in the world, but it worked for me....I tried to stay at the KOA in Ft. Mill but kids couldn't stay in the monthly section when they came to visit..
