We use Erie Insurance.

They were less than State Farm and they allowed us to get the "you're not covered for everything listed below" rather than most insurance places where "you're only insured for the things we list". It gives us alot more coverage for odd things that might happen. My wife deals with insurance and she said that it was the better way to go.

Are you military at all? Or either of your parents? If so check out USAA.

This Erie insurance must be an East coast insurance company right? I've never heard of it before. Thanks and I will check it out!

I thought State Farm Insurance was pretty good and who would have guessed a well-known company like this would pull out of NC? I've never been in a situation like this where my Insurance Company ups and leaves. I basically wanted to get some different names and personal opinions and then I will also do some research about them. Of course I would like to get more bang for my buck if at all possible!! Thanks so far and please keep the ideas coming.......

WOW.
I was with Farmers for years across multiple properties and recently switched to Travelers.
I have a $1000 deductible which I think is reasonable.
