gourmet foods?
Are there any shops in the Charlotte area that sell more gourmet foods? I'm thinking of a shop I used to go to in the Dallas area called Central Market ( Central Market | Home | Love Your Grocery Store). They had an entire aisle of cheeses from around the world, a huge wine cellar, artisan breads and desserts made fresh on site, a very large olive bar, etc. I'm particularly looking for a big world cheese selection but any information on places that have selections of foods you wouldn't typically find in the HT would be helpful.
Thanks!

Try Reids uptown for more gourmet foods. Earth Fare has a very good cheese selection. Not too worldly but fresh and mostly organic. Artisan breads can be found at Nova's. (I make my own though). Can't help with the olives. (not a fan).
Unfortunately you probably won't find everything you are looking for under 1 roof here.

Reids is pricey and most of their stuff isn't actually all too special. My big problem with Nova is a definite lack of consistency. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it sucks a lot. EarthFare is great for cheese, wine, and olives.
