Providence is a very long road. I'd say 99% is very safe. The only place I personally would not live is near Providence Square, which is where Old Providence and Providence meet.

Avoid anywhere with an address of Tuskaseegee. I googled that Subway and it looks like it's at the corner of Freedom and Tuskaseegee. An area I would avoid at night.......

I believe that is where the kidnapper took her, not where the abduction took place.

You are getting confused by the area a crime really happened in versus the police division which handles an area!

Sam Drenan and Leroy St are in GRIER HEIGHTS (a well known 'hood for years) tucked away off of Monroe Rd. HOWEVER, it is in the Providence Police DISTRICT, which is what that means above where you see the word "Providence" before "Sam Drenan". But in reality this event was no where near Providence Road.

See, knowledge is a good thing, but you have to be sure you are interpreting the info correctly or it does you no good in the long run.

This is where she was rescued, not where the supposed kidnapping took place!

She probably was now that I think about it, sorry. At any rate, that part of Providence is very safe as well.

This is what I find so frustrating, that it is so hard for people like me who have not lived here very long to know what areas to avoid. Having little pockets here and there is so much more deceiving then a few larger areas of crime.

Not sure where you heard Hickory Grove is a "better part of Charlotte" - that is certainly not true. It is in the part of east Charlotte I avoid and would certainly never live in.
