Default Looking for a home near a Union County School?

I've seen a number of folks looking to buy/rent a home near a particular school or in a school district cluster. Thought I'd post this resource for the 2009-2010 school year. Note that Union County Public Schools are formed in "clusters" around a particular high school. Check the map for the attendance zone. (Note that a new high school cluster, Cuthbertson High, will open in 2009-2010. This school will impact some of the previous attendance areas of Marvin Ridge, Weddington and Parkwood clusters, so be careful that you are buying/renting in the area you intended.)

2009/2010 School Year

There is also a good subdivision map for Union County on this link:

Hope this is helpful.

One great neighborhood suggestion near a brand new Union County school site is the Lawson neighborhood on Cutherbertson Rd. This neighborhood is so beautiful and has an incredible swimclub. They are just finishihng a 3 school complex directlly across the street.

2 school complex across the street! (middle and high only, no elementary at this point.)

AND, be careful in Union County. Although the building frenzy of recent years has passed us for the moment, Union County Public Schools continues to redefine and tweak it's attendance lines. Unless your condo is on the top floor of a school you have no security in your assignment.
