I have been noticing lately that I am full of static. I dont know if the humidity outside is low or its the dry interior heat and it doesnt bother me except when Im shock hopping out of my car. Im so scared it will be one of those gas pump fires that I have seen on the news before. I have been keeping one hand on the car and the other hand grabs the pump.

It is fun with my dog though .. hehe I will go around on the carpet and play "I zap you last"

I know I could get a humidifier but I am hesitant due to they create mold in the long term. least that what I heard. I wonder if there is anything I can eat or vitamin

There are special humidifiers that have a mold inhibitor on them. I got mine at amazon.com. it is a great way to reduce sinus infections, too....

it's called Air-o-swiss. kind of pricey, but, I have been using mine for a couple of years now....

I get shocked by static electricity everywhere I go. Out on the plains, static electricity is no joke. The barbed wire fences can get charged up during a storm and knock you down if you get hit by it.

I was talking about this with a coworker on Tuesday! It was mentioned in a weather report that night. It is because the humidity is low.

Yes!! I've been wearing my hair up all week because if I don't it's flying in my face! I've had this problem off and on all winter when we get the low humidity. Never had this problem in Cali, and 20% humidity would be high humidity there - guess my hair is truly "southern" now!!

I only get shocked at home. My pets just love me. Now they run when I try and pet them. I will pay more attention at the gas station from now on. Although I usually touch the car frequently to avoid any problems anyway.

The upside is my hair isn't standing up-at least not yet anyway.

I thought it was just me. Even when I kiss my wife sparks fly! (Guess that's a good thing)

Same here. A week or so ago doing the food shopping it seemed like every time I opened a freezer door I was getting a shock.

I thought it was because of my magnetic, electric personality.

I hate it when my pastor is surrounded by electric fence! It makes him so hard to hug... usually leads to a pastor disaster.
