I am looking to make the move with my wife from Long Island NY to the Mooresville area. I am a former operations manager for a minor league baseball team and I have also handled special events as well. If anyone can provide any information on this part of NC that would be appreciated.

Mooresville is a very nice area. It has good schools, is near Lake Norman, the cost of living is reasonable, and is safe. The commute into Charlotte during rush hours is really bad, though.

It kind of reminds me of the 80's and early 90's when everyone wanted to move to Miami.

I just did a search on all of their posts and you are right like 90% of them are I am Pming you. What kind of participation is that in this forum?

I cannot wait to move to Charlotte. I have to say, we didn't need to be sold, it sold itself to us. Maybe because of where we are coming from, I don't know. We are excited. Hoping we can get down there before the prices go up too much!
