CharlotteAgent, keep us in the loop if you find out anything. I'd prefer stores much over a car dealership....

Why? At least car dealerships won't cause a spike in noise, traffic and crime.

Thank God I left Oakhurst!

Mr. Ed says what told to him (and whats on the checks he's cashing) The interchange won't go in for two more years (unless a certain well connected guy talks to another super well connected guy) but last I heard the place is on hold while they fiquire the mess out. I can't believe the news haven't picked up on the trouble.

You seem to be going back and forth on whether this village is really going to happen.
We have been looking in birkdale and in Oakhurst. What do you think would be a better investment, birkdale or oakhurst? thanks

Birkdale................

Just keeping those of you interested informed, "Village At Lake Norman" does not appear to be dead by any means...looks as though plans to begin building are in 2009, with a 2012 completion date.

Im not good with links (not computer savvy), but google "The Village At Lake Norman". A website all about this development with FAQ's and sketches is available, lots of info. If you can post the link please do while I learn how.
