An experience I just had with some clients who bought new construction...with me by their side...was that after the home was built (1 year from contract date) the prices had dropped in the community. The builder, at first, refused to budge off of the original contract price. After much research, diligence and strong negotiating, I saved them $39k off of the price of their house. They, alone, would not have been able to do that. My job as a Buyers Agent is to get the best possible deal for my clients and make sure that their interests are protected in every way.

Thank you folks. My main concern was the cost but that's already been covered so I will be using one once we're ready to go and purchase a home.

Just an FYI. I am a Sales Agent for a new homebuilder, and a lot of folks are under assumption that we dont like to work with Realtors.... SO NOT TRUE! We like to have and need Realtors! My pay is not effected whether you use a Realtor or not... And its no cost to you....It sometimes makes my job easier!!
