Default Lake home or cabin within 120 miles of Charlotte

Considering a 2nd home in NC - Lake or Mountain homes in particular.

Any real estate geniuses out there with some intuition on areas of the state that would provide good entry level oppoturnities and still make a good long term investment.

Thanks!

Do you want to build or buy an existing home? And do you have a price range?

Default New or Resale

I would consider both new or resale. Either way, I would like to go with some fairly new so that I could have the modern creature comforts that are provided in some of the newer homes.

Wouldn't want to exceed $350K-$400 and I know that limits things.

Maybe not As you can tell by my name, I do love mountains I know of some areas to suggest to you in that range but will just send you a pm okay? But first, can you tell me, do you prefer a long range view of to be tucked away in the woods?

Try Lake Murray in SC. It's less than 90 minutes from Charlotte heading south near Columbia. We go every summer and rent a little lake house. There's lots to do....restaurants, the SC zoo, etc.

:-)

Default moutain houses

I am just curious is there anywhere further out like 3 hrs. that is under$200,000. I can't believe mountain homes cost more then Charlotte homes! Up in the northeast it is the reverse..mountain houses are so cheap!
