Wondering if anyone can provide info on great lakes to vacation on. Love the ocean but also love the lakes. Hoping the South has some fun spots to enjoy.

Lake Lanier in Georgia is a fun place to vacation. Rented a houseboat there a few years ago.

Lake Lure. Rent a house on the lake that also provides a boat. You can't really appreciate the beauty until you are out on the lake!! We are going in 2 weeks for the 2nd year in a row. It's amazing!!!
