Default Adult Women's Soccer League??

I am interested in finding an adult women's soccer league. I just checked online and Parks and Rec listed that they had one, but the link is not working. I also saw a club in Huntersville, but preferably I was hoping for something closer to South Charlotte or Uptown. I am not sure if the YMCA offers options, I was going to check there tomorrow. But if anyone has any information, that would be great!

Siskey YMCA does have an adult co-ed soccer league. They have 2 levels, casual and competition. The games are on Sundays and the season is starting next week. I'm playing this year and am pretty excited, couldn't find a team for a while. Good Luck

Hey amp- I know you asked for Uptown or Southside, but there are a couple clubs up our way that have adult leagues...Strikers Soccer Center in Huntersville is one (our daughter plays Challenge for them, and we know several women who play here) also, North Meck Soccer Club (http://www.northmecksoccer.org/home/default.asp?menu_category=Adult - broken link) has an adult league, but I have no idea about that one. I did find this link online as well: Charlotte Premier Soccer League but that was just thru a random search, so I have no idea about their league...it may be only men's, but they could be a good lead to a women's league...sorry!

Good luck to you!

I did see the strikers league online as well as the charlotte premier league. I think the drive up to huntersville would be too much for me every week. And the later is men only I believe. Before I moved I looked this up online and there is a women's league, or there was. But I can't find the info now. I played mostly uptown, which would be fine for me. I did talk with the Siskey Y, which they have a coed league, which is pretty close to me, so I may try that out. Thanks for the info.

Strikers is fun and they are always looking for women for their co-ed games. It's not full field, though. Short field but fast and can be very competitive.

We actually just had a large number of people drop out of the YMCA casual league, so you can definitely still join if you do so quickly. They have both a competitive (which I heard is mostly men and can get pretty rough) or the casual (some people have experience some have none so should be interesting).

I ended up signing up for the Siskey leauge. The strikers sound great, but with a family I think it will be hard to get up there as I am in south charlotte...close to SC. Hopefully it goes well! thanks for everyones info!

Default Charlotte Women's Soccer League

There is a Charlotte Women's Soccer League. We play at WR Davie Park on Pineville-Matthews Road. We also play at the Queens Complex on Tyvola Road. We are currently playing in the spring season and there is a waiting list. You can email Nicole and Kate at cwslusa@gmail.com to get more info! You can definitely sign up in the Fall. It's full field and slightly competitive.

We also usually play a small field summer league - FYI

We play indoor over at Sports Warehouse too!!

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know of an adult woman's soccer league in the Raleigh/Durham area?? I'm 28 and played on a recreational team a few years ago in MD and loved it. I'm new the the Durham area and wanted to find a team to join. I'm looking for something a little competitive but nothing too intense since i haven't played for a few years and have a back injury. Also, I would like it to be woman's only- I get too competitive when it's co-ed and am afraid i'll hurt myself
