So, my oldest is turning 13 () next month . . . and he's considering still having a birthday party, which is fine with us. In Michigan, we would usually do the laser tag places, etc. Here, the only peer parties he's been to so far since we moved have been Bar Mitzvah's, so we really don't know where kids around here at that age hold parties.

We're in Matthews, Union Co., technically Stallings.

Any ideas/experiences?

I know what you mean, my little darling is turning 17 on 4/15

Does he like baseball? You can take him to a Charlotte Knights game, opening day is 4/9. You don't have to do the kiddie party thing, but depending on how many people you'd invite, you could get tickets & snacks, etc... Check out their website for party/group sales info or call them directly.
