And is Savage's show broadcast anywhere around here?

I heard it when I traveled out in the eastern parts of NC, but not around Charlotte unfortunately. There is a market for it, hopefully someone will pick him up.

Thank God for the balance of NPR and PBS....the only intelligent sources of information left in this country.

What was that radio program the liberals had? Oh year 'Air America'. Dont think it did too well.
Liberals have CNN, and MSNBC, conservatives have Fox News, which has done very well.

SIRIUS radio is up there with food & clothing for me. I could never go back to listening to local radio.

I've got both XM (for Opie and Anthony and the all NHL talk station) and Sirius for some of the more genre based music stations. I couldn't do without either.

I would hardly think Air America would do well....given that Clear Channel owns the majority of stations in this country. It's still alive and kicking, though, mostly on the low powered stations that Clear Channel allows it to have.
No one can really believe that right wing talk survives purely because it is more popular. It is simply that corporate interests want the right's point of view diseminated, and the left's point of view squelched.
As for CNN and MSNBC being liberal....I hardly think so. Outside of Keith Olbermann and Lou Dobbs, they lean heavily to the right. Faux News, is so far to the right....it can't even be taken SLIGHTLY seriously as a news source.
As I said before....NPR and PBS are the only legitimate sources of news in this country anymore.

Yeah, I LOVE my XM-- just got it a few months back and I have all but left terrestrial radio behind for good. I enjoy the music on XM 54 and 75 especially, and there is a ton of talk available. I am surprised, I don't enjoy Oprah and Friends as much as I thought I would, though.

And I'm glad you're not the one who defines "legitimate" or decides what venues of news we can learn from, as I'm sure you're thankful that you have PBS and NPR.
