I don't know - a few years ago I stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO (which happens to be the hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining) and it had a lot of reports of ghosts even before then. I have several photos of the room I stayed in - and in one there is a well defined face coming right out of the wall (never saw it til I downloaded the pix a few weeks later). There was also an incident involving a bellhop delivering some items to the room that we discussed requesting the next day after we woke up (although we never called down to the front desk to do so) and when I went down to the front desk later to find out which bellhop it was so I could give them a tip (this happened right as we woke up in the morning) I described the guy and was told that did not match the description of any hotel employee - which, in my book, means I have one of the most boring ghost stories ever.

Spencer Mountain
So the family and I went to see the Spencer Mansion as my brother lives only minutes from there just the other day. My nephew had gone into the house a while back with his friends and after they went through the entire house and headed to the exit a door slammed upstairs..needless to say he was more than spooked. I went to take a picture of the upstairs window (we were outside the whole time) and I saw what I thought was a black shadow..of course I explained it as the shadow from the tree, or so I thought. As we were leaving, my husband, the curious one, opened the basement door and to his surprise felt a very cold presence and saw a black figure/shadow in the room and it disappeared. Of course he didn't share that with me till we were long gone..so, I want to know...is this place really haunted or was it our imagination? I took a ton of pictures on my digital and I didn't 'capture' anything.
Does anyone know about the Old Mill Road or Sally's bridge (not sure if they are one in the same)? A friend of mine said to go into Lincolnton and over by Motz road just past the bridge there is a weeping willow tree and if you turn off your lights and turn them back on you will see a lady hanging...how true this is, I have no idea but am very curious.
P.s. Why is the Spencer Mountain house haunted?

Cool looking "house"
Thanks for sharing Blonde
The old mansion now sits abroad where the old Spencer Mountain Cemetery used to be… In fact, the entire hillside from Pharr Blvd. all the way over to Ranlo/Spencer Mountain Road was once a final resting place for many unforgotten souls… The old masion is said to be built over top of the grave sites where many of the graves are still there as the bodies in the graves were never relocated
I will have to ask Pookie when they get home late this evening about the bridge incidents that occur in Lincolnton and see what is up with that place of paranormal activity.

Awesome, thanks. I just posted a new thread asking if anyone knew the story behind this one...wasn't sure if this thread was still alive and kicking lol.
If your in the area of this place, it's worth a trip to go see it. Just beware, it's on kind of a busy street and the neighbors will call the cops if they see you lingering around...don't park in the driveway.

I know this is a double post, and I apologize for that,.. There are places in Lancaster County, Chester County,York County, Kershaw County, Fairfield County, etc, that have wonderful "ghostly" tales and legends,... Have been on investigations in different parts of these counties, and they are awesome places to go, provided you have the clearance thru the proper channels before you go!!!
