Can anyone recommend someone who is good with highlights for dark brown hair? Preferably in South Charlotte anywhere from Ballantyne to SouthPark to Arboretum area. Thank you.

Most people go to Modern or Carmen Carmen

I have dark brown hair (nevermind the gray ) and go to Planet 21 at the Fountains. I see Cali for highlights. They have other locations at the Arboretum, Waxhaw, as well as some others further north. She's excellent, and the salon overall is more reasonably priced than Carmen Carmen or Modern. Good luck! I know how hard it is to find someone you trust with your hair.

Britney Dion at Modern in the Hearst Tower. They will stamp your parking ticket. She is Latina and awesome. I have dark brown almost black hair and she has managed to give me some warmth. Also she is their teacher on color so she really knows what she is doing!!! Love her!!! I had a horrible time with Carmen Carmen... BTW but that's just me...

Hi-lights on Dark Brown hair IS tricky, isn't it? The last time I went for hi-lights over dark brown, the result was too Orangy. I now ask for burgandy toned highlights and like the results much better.
