That's so cool!!!!! I love ISD!! I'm amazed at the speed & quick steps they do. I know I would wind up with 2 broken ankles if I ever tried to do it, lol. Back in the 70's, a a classmate of mine's younger brother & sister were very involved in Irish Step Dancing. They traveled all over the states & UK to perform. The brother was very good with high rankings, like your son. Those kids practiced for hours. It is a very athletic & intense sport that requires alot of time & dedication to achieve the level your son has reached. CONGRATS to him again & to you!!!

Irish dancing is intense. My cousin was at one time on a national championship Irish dance team (back in late 80s) It is a HUGE accomplishment! And wow - how neat you all are right here in NC where we love all things Irish!

Oh, yeah. This is actually being discussed in some circles - and is only the beginning of the Fat Police. The leaders in this country have gone completely wacko.

mornin' all...rainy today...be careful out there!!
seems a guy was racing on 85 on a motorcycle, tried to pop a wheelie, hit a light pole and was killed instantly. I hope that he is not the same guy that I have often seen on Mallard Creek Rd doing the same.

Well... the DH's interview was okay. While he's interested in the job because he wants to be working, the salary they quoted is actually less (way less!) than what he is being paid by unemployment. So, if the interview process progresses and they make him an offer, he will have a big decision to make. In this economy, beggars can't be choosers, but taking such a drastic pay cut will require a lot of thought.
On the other hand, he is also being considered for another position that is going to be filled by a recruiter. The recruiter is meeting with the company on Friday to go over candidates, and then they will choose who they want to bring in for an interview. Hopefully he will hear something from this company early next week!
Thanks to all for the good thoughts.
