Turn! Turn! Turn! Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 MV - YouTube

One of my favorites. This was certainly a big part of the soundtrack of our youth.

This was soooo popular during the Civil War centennial.

Peter Paul and Mary, The Cruel War - YouTube

Joan Baez did an even more popular version as 'Nam heated up. I can't find it, though. I did find an audio-only version by Roger McGuinn McGuinn’s Folk Den Blog Archive Cruel War, The It's the whole song.

Since when has Shelby been getting well known acts.
I saw that Richard Marx is playing at Don Gibson Center tomorrow(Thursday) night.
I check on tickets last night and the seat available was the 2nd last row. NO thanks lol

Im going to have to keep an eye on this theater as they only allow two weeks prior to a concert for online purchase.

Now you have my curiosity up, Sunny. I am gonna check out Don Gibson Center.

There is also a really nice auditorium in Morganton (CoMMA). I saw some awesome entertainment there 25 years ago. In fact, I saw a terrific performance by Ray Charles there. REALLY! And Nightnoise, amongst some other good entertainment.

We should be more plugged into what is going on in areas within a reasonable driving distance of Charlotte. I just forget to check things out regularly. But to be honest, I never even thought to see what Shelby might have going on . . . So glad you brought this up.

The old court house is being rehabbed into the Earl Scruggs Center, Ani.

Even the Joy Theater in Kings Mountain has performances, occasionally.

SB, I promise I am gonna figure out a time when we can get together and just spend a day driving around taking photos and getting info on that area. It has been waaaaaay too long since I have explored the region. I am frankly ignorant about all the growth, other than what I read about, of course. I think there are some hidden gems that need spotlighting.

I am fascinated w/ the courthouse being rehabbed. That is a STORY right there.
