But at least we got a really cool rainbow (actually two rainbows if you look hard enough in back of the prominent one).

Not all of the energy (light) escapes the drop and is reflected inside the drop again, forming the second rainbow (which is also why its not as bright). Primary rainbow - 1 internal reflection, Secondary rainbow - 2 internal reflections. The angles at which the light exits the drop after the second internal reflection are greater, too, than after the first.

Well, this AM I made a huge mistake and decided that since it wasn't raining, although it's wet outside, that dear Labby could run in the backyard and blow some stink off. Yeah, everything was fine until he found the large pool of water under the leaves, mud and leaves were flying!  He was sticking his head under the water, getting all low and splashing around, he was in 7th heaven!  |
