OH well. Now I will look up Outsiders! See if I can find a quote!
Wow, you havent seen Outsiders? It base off a book that was one of our required High School readings.
The movie had a star cast that was pretty much early movie career of these actors.
Patrick Swazye, Ralph Machio, Matt Dillon, C. Thomas Howell who was Pony Boy, Rob Lowe who was Soda Pop, Emilio Estevaz, and Tom Cruise.
The plot was rival of these Greasers gang rivals on West and East side of the town and that is why I mis thought of the movie when you said West Side Story.
I wonder if F.Y.E store off South Blvd or Concord Mills has this movie on DVD.

Honestly, Sunny . . . I don't know if I have seen it or not! I thought I had seen everything that Patrick Swayze was in . . . including the miniseries - North and South (One of my favorites, btw! He was awesome in it!)
I am gonna see if netflix has it. It sounds like a classic and since I am quite a movie buff (but often forget titles!!!) . . . it seems likely I have seen it . . . worth checking out, regardless!

If you saw it, you'll remember this Frost poem...
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
I am sure I haven't seen it and wow - can't believe that! My son was born that year and we had the house on the market . . . I don't think I saw a movie that whole year! But it does surprise me that I haven't seen it on TV late at nite in all these years . . . such an amazing cast of actors who all had solid careers ahead of them! And Diane Lane - one of my favorites.
Well, y'all know about the NC film locations for Dirty Dancing, so no need to mention that . . . but what most folks do not realize is - Swayze co-wrote "She's Like the Wind" and that really is him singing the song, as well. What I found interesting is . . . the song was actually written for an earlier movie - Grandview, USA (Jamie Lee Curtis) but wasn't used in the film. Hard to believe it wasn't written for Dirty Dancing - it was perfect! And hit # 3 on the charts . . .
So . . . are the occupy people still hanging out in Charlotte? I am assuming as the weather gets nastier, the crowds will thin.
