My grandparents are in Camberley, Waxhaw. How do they dispose of a 27-in television?

Thank you!

Sara

It's a sunny weekend...I'd put it on the curb, and turn my back. Make lunch and see if it's still there.

Actually it looks like their timing is perfect. The town of Waxhaw is having its spring clean up days on Monday April 6th and Tuesday April 7th. Items like appliances, tv's and furniture can be left out at the curb and will be picked up. If you have questions, you can call Public Services at 704-843-7439.

Freecycle it. We had a guy come pick up our non-working tv because he had one just like it and wanted to practice fixing it and maybe use it for parts. Better than having it just end up in the landfill...

Waxhaw's Spring Clean Up Day turned out to be a bust for us.

Early this morning called the number in this thread, left detailed voice mail inquiring about specifics.

Received call back no more than an hour later asking me if others in the neighborhood had items at the curb. I was told if others had items on the curb, to leave the TV, if they didn't then we'd missed out because they had "probably" already been through the neighborhood. Was told that there was "no defined route". No, none of it made sense.

At this point my DH said he'll deal with it ... .
