Default Inlaws visiting for the weekend...what to do?

As some of you may know from my posts the last 2 months, my fiance and I moved to Charlotte about 2 months ago. We love it here, the people are friendly and there is lots to do.

Im a little stumped for this weekend though. Her parents are flying in and we basically have to entertain them Friday-Sunday. If friends fly in, I take them out to a bar or a Checkers games, something like that. I'm totally lost what to have planned for her parents, her mom is 55 and her dad is 59. Any good suggestions?

They don't drink and we are not rich people, so nothing to ritzy is possible for us. Any help is appreciated

Would they want to visit museums or historic sites? Would they want to shop? Do either of them have a special hobby that they would enjoy finding a shop for? Like - dad is a fly fisherman so would like Orvis or mom is a scrapbooker so would like a scrapbooking shop . . .

If they like historic sites, Latta Plantation might be a thought. That is a nice drive out in a more rural area and would give some flavor for what it is like outside the city itself. The raptor center is right there, too, if they would be interested in that.

If they like gardening, the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden would be a neat day trip. If they would be interested in Billy Graham, the library and grounds might be a good place to go.

Give us some idea what they may like to do and perhaps we can come up with some ideas and suggestions.

You know, it is Easter and I wasn't even thinking that this may affect the hours when things will be open.

Weather looks to be ok-ish this weekend. Indoors may be better....

And yeah, Biltmore was AWESOME, ive been there, but we may take them, it would sure kill a whole day, no doubt.
